More v ram is horrible for the gamers, but awesome for game devs. We need to stop this "the more the better" trend. The reason why games ar so horribly optimized and made is because game developers have the logic of "Blame everything on the gpu, my game isn't trash, it's just that ur gpu and cpu is trash"

Pretty good gpu, played Max Payne 3 perfectly, honestly if you play indie games and older titles before 2020, this is all you need to game. You'll get atleast 60 frames on nearly every game usually high settings. Most games these days aren't graphically intensive anyways, there's few games that will put a graphics card to the test. Depending on your monitor, you may be maxed out at 60 fps anyways so the higher framerates are meaningless. You have to make compromises for stuff like Cyberpunk lowering settings but it's still 100% playable and you'll get over 60 fps after adjusting the graphics settings. It's cheap and works, I've had it for years, haven't found a reason to upgrade.

I still use a 6700xt and still works great.

I have a 3090 in my pc and a 6600m in my laptop. The 6600m is a beast. It runs everything at 1080p probably slightly better than the 3090 does that 4K and AMD adrenaline is definitely better than Nvidia control panel

Have you tried testing at 4k where VRAM becomes a big bottle neck?

the Neo is the more budget friendly version of the normal Predator Helios. also I unironically chose this laptop partially for the numpad. I use the numpad as a mouse to make pixel perfect moves quite a bit and I saw a good number of other similar spected laptops without numpad, so that was ultimately my winning factor. also I'm using an old Nitro 5 which still has a gtx1650 with an i5-9300h so jumping to this with its 4070 and i7 13700hx will be quite a crazy update for me. I saw somewhere that Acer supposedly managed to make their laptops a decent bit quieter in recent times, which is almost the only thing that majorly annoyed me about the Nitro 5 (besides the poor performance now). I am still a bit bummed out that I still cant really build my first desktop pc tho now because of university. but if it serves me well I'll consider to upgrade the ram to 32gb and add another SSD. until then I'll keep storing my games on an external drive. still cant wait to finally play some of the more intensive games

NVidia is required by all the good 3D editing software and video editing software (and gaming developers). So developers are forced to use Nvidia. Gamers and crypto-guys can pick AMD or NVidia. AI and deep learning also requires NVidia. Its because NVidia has CUDA and its better for writing software and code for parallelization. AMD keeps lagging on creating good tooling and AMD also keeps creating those heat issue. Our last hope was when AMD told us they were going to make better cards in 2020, and they lied. They just don't have the good engineers and probably the circuit printer to manufacturer the cards. NVidia is deep with the USA gov't and Taiwan -- they specifically have special optical circuit printers for NVidia.

The rtx 4060 is better than the rx 7600 for just 30usd more. After that Amd beats Nvidia at all price points for value and raster performance. The 4060ti 8gb is the worst card of this generation just like how rtx 3050 8gb was for last gen. Ngreedia needs to start giving more vram (less vram = planned obsolescence) and Amdolts need to price a bit more aggressively.

Whenever we watch this kind of review, it seems great at some point, but for example, we use some basic laptops, and we make the process of installing any Linux distro. So, at least, it would be really nice if you could tell us how difficult the process of installing any Linux distro would be, or if you don't recommend doing any installation of a Linux OS on these laptops.

Thing is. I tried 6800 just last week and man it was good with a lot of games but…what really made me go back to nvidia was amds shitty dx11 shader compilation. Games like valorant is a stutter mess on amd. For some reason amd driver down clocks in valorant as it’s cpu intensive game. Also I play siege and prefer dx11 ver over Vulcan as it looks better and it stutters in that too

AMD is great, if you think that AMD is bad you are 100% paid by Nvidia. It's well known that there are no bad GPUs. Only badly priced GPUs. And Nvidia has plenty of those. Example, an RX 7600 is faster than a 4060, for $30 less.

If you still say AMD drivers are horrible in 2024, you either have not recently used a AMD GPU, or you work for nvidia for free. I have an xtx, 7900 gre, while my wife has a 3070. We deal with nvidia drivers issues more (though not many) then the AMD drivers. With that being said, both drivers work great.

So what do u recommend?? Rx 6600 or rx 7600??
